Tried fiddling with all the settings, clear up bodies, set bodies and weapons to minimum, minimised/disabled all post-processing options, all shadows low, render scaling to 0.7, and none of it made a difference (besides making the game look worse Lol).įor a long time, there were discussions on the Discord servers relating to poor performance with RTX cards, with most of the people complaining about performance issues using 20xx series cards. I do have a somewhat old CPU, but literally every other game (pancake and VR) I own works perfectly fine, it's just B&S I have stuttering and major frame drops with :( As soon as I've killed a few people and there's half a dozen enemies plus a few leftover weapons/bodies on the floor, performance goes to ♥♥♥♥.
#BLADE AND SORCERY VR UPDATE 2.0 UPGRADE#
Someone mentioned fairly recently that I'd likely need to upgrade my CPU as this is a very physics-heavy game and those physics are CPU-bound. Before that it ran perfectly U7 started getting iffy, then U8 and the assets update borked the performance for me. I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but I get pretty awful performance too, even on U8.4 beta 7 (which improved things for a lot of people). Will have to look into that and will pass that along to the warpfrog team for bugfix if so. There is also "persistent bodies/items" (which you tried) which should help a ton but someone recently told me the option was not working correctly. Sounds like you did a lot of good attempts to improve performance, though did you also try the option "reduce physics quality"? This will help your CPU a ton. BAS chew out even good CPUs because everything is CPU based, as the game is all physics. That's why when there are lots of weapons/bodies on the floor the performance dips, because the CPU is handle all these physics objects in the scene.
#BLADE AND SORCERY VR UPDATE 2.0 MODS#
Many mods have been updated to 8.4 beta by now, including The Outer Rim (star wars) mod.įor Voidflakes, I'm afraid it sounds like your issue is your CPU. So OP, the only solution is to jump to 8.4 beta, because 8.4 beta literally is the fix for that problem. U8.0 - U8.3 had notorious performance issues that were majorly fixed in 8.4 beta. OP's issues is 100% because he is on 8.3.
